How much do Crittall-style doors cost? What drives the price of steel internal doors
The price of made-to-measure steel internal doors depends on a few specific things. Here is what shapes it and how to get a quote for your project in minutes.
In this guide
“How much do Crittall-style doors cost?” is the question we hear most often. The honest answer is: it depends – but not on chance. We make every door and partition to measure for a specific opening, so we have no minimum price and no “from” price list. Instead, here is what makes up the price and how to quickly find out the figure for your project.
What drives the price of steel internal doors?
- Size – the width and height of the opening decide how much steel and glass is needed. A floor-to-ceiling screen takes more material than a single door.
- Type of structure – hinged, sliding, pivot or bifold doors, or a fixed partition with or without a door. Each type is built differently and uses different hardware: hinges, a sliding track or a pivot.
- Glazing bars – the number of panes, arches and slopes. Every glazing bar is welded to the frame, so a denser grid means more work.
- Glass – clear, reeded, frosted, smoked, mirror or lacquered glass. Always safety glass: toughened or laminated, from 5 mm.
- Fittings – handles, locks, pull handles and side panels or fanlights beside or above the door.

Price per m²
We do not price per square metre – we quote for the whole structure. The same square metres can be a plain glass panel or a door with an arch, glazing bars and side panels, and that is completely different work.
Steel or aluminium?
Our doors and partitions are made of steel: 40×20, 50×20 and 15×15 mm box sections with a 1.5–2 mm wall, in DC01 steel. The frame is fully welded and the glazing bars are welded to it, not stuck onto the glass – a welded structure is rigid as a whole. We powder-coat it in our own paint shop in any RAL colour. It needs no maintenance, and the whole structure comes with a 3-year warranty.

Delivery and installation in the UK
We measure and install with our own team in the Wielkopolska region of Poland. For the UK we make the structure ready for installation by your contractor: the glass and locks are fitted before dispatch, and handles, screws and seals are packed with the structure. We ship to the UK regularly.
The cost of transport – and of measuring and installation where we do them – is included in the quote together with the structure.
The fastest way to find out the price of your doors
- Measure the opening – width and height. A photo or a hand sketch is enough.
- Design the doors in the 3D configurator – choose the type, divisions, glass and colour.
- You receive a free quote with a technical drawing straight away. You can compare options, for example a different glass or a different grid.
- Prefer to write? Send us the dimensions, a photo or a sketch – we will prepare a quote by e-mail.
Lead time is usually 5–6 weeks from design approval; we give the exact date with the quote.
